Whether it’s disrupting an untapped market, reshaping an antiquated industry or creating systems that will change the future for society, the tech industry is always looking ahead. Startups work in anticipation for years (and decades) to come. As such, we like to take a look into the future ourselves on occasion.

This time, we rounded up five crazy-cool NYC startups that are about to break out of beta. Take a look:

Reonomy is after data in the commercial real estate space, providing lenders and debt brokers with property information such as ownership, sales, debt and taxes. Brokers and lenders can search by mortgage origination date to find properties for refinancing and target properties by neighborhood and type.

AgendaFly wants to make your meetings more productive. The scheduling app integrates directly with Google Calendar for managers and sales executives, and will shoot users reminders when an agenda hasn’t been created for a meeting. The app also allows participants to share feedback and upvote agenda items in advance, making taking and sharing meeting notes simple and easy.

SendPulse wants you to help you get all your email marketing done — without ever leaving Slack. Using the service, you’ll be able to add new subscribers and edit your mailing lists, create and send email and web push messages and get stats about your email campaigns all in one place.

Source’s mission is to cover the world in cheap, reliable internet access. The company essentially offers a WiFi marketplace to users, utilizing its growing network of Source hotspots around the world. Here’s how it works: A user downloads Source’s software onto their laptop or smartphone, connects to ‘Source WiFi,’ and pays for the time they use the internet.

SmartKai is an AI-powered social media scheduler. The tool allows users to add content and link to their social media accounts, and then uses smart technology to figure out what needs to be posted to maximize impact. The company promises to increase website traffic from social media, increase post engagement and save social media managers time and money.
