A free class on how to design and build a website from scratch.You’ll get an introduction to HTML and CSS and see how they are used to layout webpages and style content. We will optimize graphics for webpages and upload a site to make it live for the world to see.
2. Breaking Into Startups, Nov. 23 at 6:30 pm
Want to work at a startup. General Assembly is gathering recruiters from hiring Startups to talk about what their looking for in new hires. There will be a panel discussion on what it takes to get your foot in the door at a hot NYC startup. But if you’re smart you’ll stick around afterwards for a chance to pitch yourself to the panelists.
3. Hackernest NYC one year anniversary extravaganza, Nov. 23, 8 pm
Celebrate Hackernest NYC’s first birthday with a party at Workbench on fifth avenue. HackerNest is an international nonprofit focused on building supportive tech communities everywhere. The event promises free wine and beer, video games, cornholes and a chance to network at a VC’s office.
