Business Insider Ignition, December 8 at 7:30 a.m.

Business Insider's two-day event follows the trends in digital media and attracts businesses small and large from technology, media, entertainment, investment, and finance industries. Speakers include the co-founders of SMOSH, one of YouTube’s most viewed channels, Jonah Peretti, CEO and co-founder of Buzzfeed as well old school media heads such as Leslie Moonves, President and CEO of CBS and Jeff Immelt, chairman and CEO of GE.

Design Driven, December 8 at 5:45 p.m.

Design Driven NYC is a monthly meetup group organized by VC firm Firstmark discussing the intersection of design, user experience, and technology. This month’s speakers include Anil Dash (Makerbase), Sara Chipps of Jewelbots, Josh Long of Oscar and award winning designer Gail Anderson. 

FT Innovate 2015, December 9 at 9 a.m.

This conference from the Financial Times explores how larger companies can innovate like startups. Speakers include HBO and IMAX CEOs, Richard Plepper and Richard Gelfond as well as Beth Comstock, Vice Chair of GE.

Culture Series - How To Attract & Retain Top Talent, December 10 at 6:30 p.m.

The last in a three part series about getting the best talent for your startup organized by General Assembly in partnership with Greenhouse, and Poppin. Get tips for hiring or if you’re a job seeker and get a chance to mingle with the panel of recruiters from Hillary For America, Percolate and Venmo.

Job Harvest, December 10 at 6:30 p.m.

This is a job fair organized by the New York Software Engineers (NYSE). Job seeking engineers can submit their resume’s early and get a chance to meet hiring companies. Each company that attends will often have lead engineers along with the hiring principal to increase the possibility of finding an on the spot hire.
