Conference season is in full swing in New York by mid October, but there are still some key conferences remaining in 2015. Built In NYC has taken a look at five of the biggest tech events still to come before the end of the year.
Decoded Fashion: New York Summit 2015
Date: October 28 - 29, 2015
Venue: IAC (InterActiveCorp) Headquarters, 555 W 18th St.
Decoded Fashion covers the intersection of fashion and technology, melding one of the city’s traditional industries with Silicon Alley. The inaugural New York Summit held in 2012 was the first fashion tech conference. This year’s two-day New York event includes a slew of panel discussions and roundtable events featuring some of the biggest names in Fashion tech. Some of the biggest speakers for 2015 include Sean Rad, founder and CEO of Tinder, Mike Grishaver, SVP of product for Etsy, and Matthew Woolsey who manages digital for Barney’s New York. This year the summit will also feature the Fashion Future Awards, honoring pioneers in the industry.

Uncubed NYC aims to connect hiring startups with the best tech talent in the city — the idea being to get out of the dreaded cubicle into a funky open office startup. It features a day of talks and classes given by leaders from some of NYC’s top startups and attendees also get the chance for one on one meetings with tech founders. Some of the key speakers are Mike Hanrahan, CTO at Jet.com, Teresa Dietrich, CTO at Namely and Ruby Anaya of WeWork. There will be more than 80 hiring companies attending including the likes of Meetup.com, Buzzfeed, Dataminr, AOL and FanDuel.

Ad:Tech is a conference where the marketing, tech and media worlds come together to discuss solutions to the changing media landscape that is transforming how advertising works. One of the keynote speakers is the outspoken Marc Maron, who recently had president Obama visit his garage in L.A. to record an interview for his popular WTF podcast. Household brands like Coca-Cola, Google, Nestle, Pinterest, Walmart, Facebook, and Unilever are also going to be sharing their insights on stage.

Date: November 18, 2015
Venue: Manhattan Center, 311 W 34th St, New York
This is the third installation of The Next Web (TNW) Conference USA organized by the Dutch tech site of the same name. Though slightly smaller than The Next Web conference held in Amsterdam every May, the U.S. version is still expected to attract 1500 visitors to New York looking to do business with Silicon Alley. Marquee speakers include Jake Schwartz, co-founder and CEO of General Assembly, Mike Weissman, general manager of Vimeo and John Lunn, senior global director of PayPal.

Venue: Time Warner Center
Morale should be high at the sixth incarnation of Ignition this year following Business Insider’s $343 million acquisition by German media giant Axel Springer. The event follows the trends in digital media and attracts businesses small and large from technology, media, entertainment, investment, and finance industries. Speakers include the co-founders of SMOSH, one of YouTube’s most viewed channels, Jonah Peretti, CEO and co-founder of Buzzfeed as well old school media heads such as Leslie Moonves, President and CEO of CBS and Jeff Immelt, chairman and CEO of GE.
