The NYC tech scene continues to innovate with virtual twins, conversational AI and supply chain for the cannabis industry. Keep reading to hear about the latest updates, including who is hiring. This is the Built In NYC weekly refresh. 

Movable Ink gained $55M. The Series D round, led by Silver Lake Waterman, elevated Movable Ink to unicorn status with a valuation of $1.3 billion. Movable Ink, which helps marketers create visual content, will use its funding to advance its product roadmap and add over 100 employees to the company this year. [TechCrunch]

TheGuarantors raised $50M. TheGuarantors aim to make renting easier by offering security deposits and acting as a co-signer for renters that need it. The Series C round, led by Portage Venture, will go toward expanding its product offerings and adding to the team. The company plans to quadruple the size of its engineering team. [Built In NYC]

Loris gained $12M.  Loris provides conversational AI, helping the customer experience and assisting agents. The Series A round, led by Bow Capital, will go toward expanding the company’s AI technology. [PR Newswire]

Lucid Green gained $10M. Lucid Green aims to help inventory management and the supply chain within the cannabis industry. The company raised a Series B round led by Gron Ventures that will be used initially to scale its offerings, raise product awareness and add to the team. [Built In NYC]
