The ideal teammate would be…

Managing the compliance and standardized processes for our border crossing transactions. This person will be creating our processes for imports and exports in compliance with U.S. and Canada Customs Laws and Codes. They will be working with third party service providers such as customs brokers and trade services providers in support of achieving the lowest legal duty and taxation. This position will be required to work out of our Hoboken office, this is not a remote role.


The ideal teammate would be able to:

•Monitor all data relating to all of our US and Canadian imports/exports

•Oversee all deliverables from trade service including compliance and analysis functions

•Use data to create reporting on key findings, action items and feedback

•Track, monitor and publish changes/amendments to custom broker business rules, import/export procedures and manuals & trade services handbooks

•Use data to support duty avoidance trade programs

•Manage periodic monthly statement reconciliation via US Customs & Border Protections ACE portal

•Find, report and resolve issues and discrepancies related to management of third parties service providers


Would you describe yourself as someone who has:

•Expert proficiency with HTS codes (required)

•At least 5 years of experience managing customs and import/export activities (required)

•Certified customs specialist certification or is a licensed customs broker (required)

•Experience designing, executing, and overseeing duty drawback programs and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) programs across multiple warehouses and distribution centers (preferred)

•IATA/CFR Hazmat experience including placarding for Class 9 Fully regulated items (a plus)

•Advanced understanding of C-TPAT, GSP, USGR, NAFTA, CAFTA and experience with the harmonized tariff coding system

•In-depth knowledge of Section 301 tariffs
