Overview:
At FuboTV we guarantee we offer the best language experience to our users in every country we operate. The core responsibility of our language team is to help the rest of the company to communicate properly with our users and to make sure our users understand what we want to convey.
We are looking for an experienced and detailed oriented English to Spanish translator as part of the team. You are passionate about digital media and television, tech savvy, comfortable working independently and have a strong team player orientation. You can think outside the box, take on initiatives and lead an idea to enhance the product.
You will be willing to do your best to understand the specifics of the product and will take decisions based on that knowledge.
You will have to spend time understanding the product and interacting with the team to be able to make the best possible decisions to ensure the appropriate communication with our users.
Job Responsibilities:

• Understand the cultural context and linguistic nuances of Spanish from Spain and Spanish used in the US, adapting the text as well as their straightforward meaning
• Translate from English into Spanish (Castillian and LATAM) with native fluency while maintaining terminology consistency and conforming to the style guides
• Write clear and compelling copy to describe the product and its features
• Ensure consistency and equality - review and comparative-edit Spanish translations against the English
• Develop documentation and style guides for Spanish
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand the new product features
• Ensure all content we produce is true to the product and consistent with our brand
• Balance tight turnaround projects along with long-lead work and ensure that projects are delivered on time
• Ability to learn quickly specific translation tool used by FuboTV

Required Skills & Experience

• Ability to use excellent English and Spanish grammar to provide precise, sensible translations of both languages
• Excellent writing and proofreading skills
• Desirable knowledge of the major sports and entertainment in the media market.
• Preferred familiarity with tech and streaming services
• Proven work experience as a Translator, Product Copywriter, Copywriter or similar role
• Portfolio of published articles
• Time-management abilities
• Must be able to work independently, make decisions without team leads present
• An ability to think strategically, with a sharp eye for the details
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
