About the Role:
Octave is seeking a seasoned program manager to oversee an array of company-wide programs, stand up new operational capabilities, and ensure operational efficiency across our company. You will own projects from start to finish, working cross-functionally with our Clinical, Partnerships (Business Development), Operations, Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to prioritize, develop, maintain, and continuously improve programs. As a strategic leader on the operations team you will help to develop new operational capabilities and drive operational efficiency, providing the foundation for scaled growth. Your work will have a direct impact on people’s lives by scaling the availability and accessibility of quality mental health services, in line with Octave’s mission.
Responsibilities Include:
Lead high priority, complex programs end-to-end:
- Lead multiple end-to-end programs that support Octave’s growth across the entire lifecycle including ideation, scoping, planning, execution, and results monitoring.
- Help prioritize and drive internal alignment of key projects and strategic initiatives, understanding how they map to company priorities and the impact they will have.
- Drive cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop creative solutions for some of the most complex issues in mental health today, including launching new payor relationships, expanding services to new states and improving care delivery models.
- Design and implement communications strategies for initiatives, conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of performance, and ensure overall impact in relation to the program’s desired outcomes and company goals.
- Own continuous improvement and explore new ideas during the course of each program to inform future opportunities.
Stand up new operational capabilities:
- Support new system implementations, leading the selection, adoption, and optimization of new technologies and systems to enhance operational workflows and data management.
- Drive the creation and implementation of innovative processes that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency across all program areas.
- Develop strategic alliances and partnerships that can enhance Octave's operational capabilities and expand service offerings to clientele.
- Architect and support the deployment of new service lines or product offerings, ensuring they are effectively integrated into the existing operational framework.
Drive operational efficiency and process improvement:
- Lead process optimization initiatives to enable internal operations to scale with business needs.
- Leverage data analytics and patient, provider, and partner feedback to enhance the efficiency of Octave’s operations.
- Construct and implement frameworks that ensure new operational capabilities are scalable and adaptable to the growing needs of Octave.
- Implement new technologies (e.g., AI, low code tools) in partnership with Product to optimize and automate patient onboarding, care navigation, and cross-team collaboration, among others.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience: in program management, management consulting, and/or business operations. Experience in Healthcare preferred.
- Ownership: Experience leading multi-disciplinary, cross-functional strategic operational initiatives from design through implementation.
- Strategic operator: Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning and operational execution – able to get into the details without losing sight of the big picture – to help guide the efforts of all program stakeholders.
- Organization: Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects with competing priorities aligned to short and long term objectives.
- Strong communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experienced in working with and presenting to executive leadership.
- Resourcefulness: Demonstrated ability to innovatively and efficiently navigate challenges, ensuring successful project execution within constrained environments.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to frequently communicate with others through virtual meeting applications such as Zoom and Google Meet.
- Must be able to observe and communicate information on company provided laptop.
- Move up to 10 pounds on occasion.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Compensation:

Starting pay for qualified applicants will depend on a combination of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is set forth below and this range may be modified in the future.
The salary range is for zone 1 (all states not in zone 2 or zone 3) $132,100 - $142,600.
The salary range for zones 2 & 3 (AK, CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, WA, CO, HI, MD, RI) is $145,300 - $150,000.
All zones are eligible for equity in the form of stock options, plus target bonus incentives based on performance.
Additionally, this position is eligible for the following benefits: company sponsored life insurance, disability and AD&D plans. Voluntary benefits such as 401k retirement, medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, dependent care and commuter/parking options are also available. Octave offers generous Paid Time Off as well as paid parental leave benefits.
