RMBS Principal Finance - Vice President (New Origination Sector)
Job Summary:
As a Vice President on RMBS Principal Finance team, you will be responsible for for sourcing / structuring / pricing / executing financing transactions, developing asset classes, and managing clients. The team also actively risk manages its portfolio and develops securitized and bilateral risk distribution options.
This role will be focused on the new origination sector and originator / servicer clients. The role will also provide broad exposure to the entire U.S. residential mortgage sector.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain expertise across different mortgage sector/transactions/structures (particularly in new origination sector)
  • Participate in client management, attend industry conferences, work with external capital/syndication risk partners
  • Establish strong relationships with mortgage lenders, financial institutions, and other clients to drive business development and revenue growth
  • Keep informed of economic conditions in the mortgage landscape, regulatory environment, and technology advancements. Proactively adapt strategies to capitalize on emerging opportunities
  • Lead the development of presentation and marketing materials
  • Work on complex financing structures - manage the process from mandate to deal execution
  • Coordinate and communicate with different internal counterparties within the bank (Trading, Sales, Banking, Diligence, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Research, Operations, Compliance, Technology, Accounting, Legal, etc.)
  • Improve processes and create efficiency


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree with demonstrated academic excellence
  • At least 5 - 10+ years relevant professional experience
  • Deep knowledge of new origination mortgage sector clients (specifically small to mid-sized) and relevant opportunities / challenges required
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven
  • Proven track record of building long-term client relationships
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with various stakeholders
  • Strong problem solving skills
