Working at Atlassian
Atlassians can choose where they work - whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
Atlassian is seeking a Principal Strategist to help drive the dynamic growth and adoption of our expanding product suite. This role will be pivotal in executing Enterprise GTM strategies, fueling monetization efforts across markets, and fostering innovative change design to strengthen our ability to unleash the power of every team.
The ideal candidate will partner closely with the Revenue Operations executive team, as well as stakeholders across the organization, to define critical strategy that will help set the long-term direction of the business. This individual should be strategic, a self-starter, driven, adaptable, highly organized, analytical, and have a strong eye for detail. A strong understanding of SaaS business models and of Atlassian's markets and product strategy is essential.
What you'll do
- Define how Atlassian's Enterprise GTM should support an expanding product portfolio, across home-grown products and those acquired through M&A.
- Orchestrate alignment between Enterprise GTM and Product teams to deliver the greatest value for customers.
- Identify monetization opportunities by having your pulse on the business and drive change by working closely with cross-functional partners across analytics, finance, product, marketing, and sales.
- Conduct product, customer, competitive, and financial research to develop insights and build high-impact product-centric GTM business cases.
- Formulate and present critical sales strategy recommendations to the executive team members in various forums.
On your first day, we'll expect you to:
- Have extensive experience in corporate strategy, business operations, consulting, investment banking, or an equivalent field (competitive candidates typically have 9+ years of relevant experience).
- Be comfortable with ambiguity and able to delve into the details while engaging meaningfully on higher-level strategy.
- Bring analytical rigor, drive to support decisions with data, and an ability to make data digestible to diverse audiences.
- Have an understanding of SaaS business models and of enterprise sales.
- Have strong proficiency in structured data analysis (eg Excel, GSheet, SQL is a strong plus).
- Have knowledge of BI tools and technologies (e.g., Tableau).
