This is a full-time position located in either our New York City or Los Angeles offices.  

About the role:

The Brand Marketing Consultant / Brand Strategist must be proficient at interpreting information, trends and client research to develop new ideas and thinking on brands in an engaging manner that tells a compelling story to the client.

The right candidate must be able to demonstrate mastery of most core and technical brand, marketing and creative strategy.

As a Brand Strategy Consultant / Brand Strategist you must be able to lead portions of a client engagement independently and work well with other disciplines to strengthen the work and deliver optimal results. 

You are excited to and capable of:

  • Collecting and analyzing data, cultural intelligence, audience insight, and industry knowledge to tell a clear and inspirational story
  • Packaging insights into a very simple, clear, and digestible download for account and creative teams
  • Supporting the development of a clear, convincing train of thought that leads to a powerful strategic idea 
  • Sussing out a great idea in a brainstorm or discuss internally or with clients
  • Supporting the development of products & deliverables such as:
    • Brand Strategy:
      • Positioning and brand north star 
      • Brand and product architecture
    • Creative Strategy:
      • Creative briefs
      • Brand equities and messaging
    • Performance Marketing:
      • Learning Agendas
      • Campaign optimization
  • Supporting the growth of client relationships, ensuring they remain connected to our process, progress and deliverables.
  • Bolstering business development presentations by helping to prepare for those meetings with the development of case studies and relevant work examples.
  • Supporting internal efforts to scope and cost new work (including describing that work in SOWs).
  • Working well with other functions within the company including researchers, data scientists, media buyers/planners, creatives and others.
  • Helping research/data, media and creative teams with what they need to help inform a coherent/inspired solution for our clients.

Requirements:

  • 4 years’ experience in a marketing role, with marketing or advertising agency experience highly preferred
  • A passion for understanding our partner’s needs and becoming their trusted advisor
  • Comfort presenting to and briefing clients at various levels
  • Ability to balance various client commitments and categories at once
  • Deep empathy for consumers, our partners and our teammates
  • A desire to change the way things have been done in marketing and brand strategy
  • Excitement to partner with data scientists, market researchers and creatives across our offices
  • Highly motivated and self-motivated with a history of high integrity
  • Strong interpersonal and written skills
