What You'll Do

In this role, you will oversee the vendor contracting process from start-to-finish and support Flatiron’s ongoing procurement operations.  You’ll work closely with Flatiron’s Procurement and Legal teams to vet vendors and conduct legal review of vendor agreements. In addition, you’ll also:

  • Drive the vendor contracting process from intake to execution, collaborating with Flatiron’s Procurement, Legal, Privacy, and Security teams to ensure contract compliance
  • Review, prepare, and negotiate agreements with third-party vendors for products and services
  • Work closely with internal and external legal counsel to identify, escalate, and resolve vendor contracting issues
  • Manage, organize, and maintain the vendor contract management system
  • Identify opportunities to create contracting efficiency and work to drive continued improvements in contracting timelines and other initiatives
  • Develop processes and procedures to support procurement operations and contracting, seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and strategic expansion of the procurement function
  • Assist with Flatiron’s new vendor onboarding process, ensuring all new vendors are reviewed, vetted, and approved before being added as a vendor
  • Support Flatiron’s vendor diversity program, including vendor outreach and certification management

Who You Are

  • You have the ability to work independently and exercise excellent judgment
  • You possess excellent communication skills and provide top notch customer service to internal stakeholders
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have demonstrated ability to prioritize requests and timelines
  • You have a demonstrated track record of being a team-player and working collaboratively

Extra credit
