WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Magnifi by TIFIN is changing the way consumers shop for investments by bringing trusted data, insights, and a world of investment opportunities right to their fingertips. Magnifi’s free search tool and AI-powered personal investing assistant enable individual investors with varying degrees of investment experience and know-how with investment intelligence that, up to now, has only been offered to professional financial advisors. Magnifi also provides, free, no commission and no-order flow trading of stocks, ETFs, and mutual funds for investors seeking to easily put their insights to work. In a world where every individual is unique, TIFIN enables Magnifi customers to gain critical investment intelligence and recommendations that match their distinct investment needs, risk levels, goals, and personal interests.
We are seeking an Investment Analyst to join the Magnifi. In this role, you will report to the VP of Product and will be instrumental in spearheading quant investment efforts to bring AI-powered technology to everyday investors. We’re looking for an ambitious and scrappy candidate who is ready to revolutionize how retail investors operate.
THE ROLE:
- Design and implement quantitative models for portfolio optimization, risk assessment, and investment analysis
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of quantitative investment functions, including documentation and testing
- Ensure code reusability by creating modular, well-documented financial analysis components
- Develop APIs to integrate financial data sources and trading platforms
- Create backtesting frameworks to validate investment strategies
- Optimize algorithms for portfolio monitoring and rebalancing
- Work with data scientists to enhance chatbot intelligence and accuracy
WHO YOU ARE:
- Advanced training in Financial Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or another highly quantitative field (Bachelors, Masters, PhD degree)
- 1+ years experience in quantitative development or algorithmic trading
- Strong Python programming skills with expertise in numerical computing libraries (NumPy, Pandas)
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis and financial mathematics
- Experience with financial APIs and market data providers
- Knowledge of modern portfolio theory and risk management principles
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS PACKAGE:
The expected starting salary range for this position is between $120,000-140,000. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

A note on location. While we have team centers in New York City, San Francisco, Charlotte, Mumbai, Bangalore and Madrid, TIFIN is headquartered in Boulder, CO and our preference is to build the team here whenever possible, so relocation packages are available for any candidate willing to relocate to the Boulder area.
