Beacon Platform Inc. seeks a dynamic and strategic Head of Human Resources to lead and evolve our HR function. As a key member of Beacon, you will be responsible for shaping and executing HR strategies that align with our organizational goals, while overseeing day-to-day operations and leading a team of HR professionals. In our fast-paced startup environment, the ideal candidate will be resourceful, proactive, and able to navigate both strategic and operational challenges with agility and precision. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive talent management, organizational development, and cultural initiatives that support our business growth and success.


Key Responsibilities:


HR Leadership:

  • Drive the development and execution of HR strategies that directly align with and support the broader organizational goals.
  • Partner with senior leadership to provide strategic advice on organizational design, workforce planning, and the evolution of talent needs to meet business objectives.
  • Cultivate a dynamic, inclusive company culture that embodies the organization's mission, values, and vision, fostering employee engagement and organizational growth.

Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:

  • Lead the creation and implementation of innovative recruitment strategies that attract, retain, and develop top-tier talent in line with the company's long-term objectives.
  • Develop targeted job descriptions and oversee the recruitment cycle to ensure the selection of candidates who align with both cultural and functional needs.
  • Strengthen relationships with external talent sources, including recruitment agencies, universities, and industry networks, to ensure a continuous pipeline of high-caliber talent.

Employee Onboarding and Development:

  • Design and continuously improve comprehensive onboarding programs that integrate new hires seamlessly into the organization, accelerating their time to productivity.
  • Proactively assess organizational training needs and implement tailored professional development initiatives to enhance employee skills and support career progression.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and growth, fostering employee engagement and long-term retention.

Performance Management:

  • Design and manage performance management frameworks that support the organization's goals and employee development, ensuring alignment between individual performance and strategic priorities.
  • Provide coaching and strategic direction to leaders on effective goal-setting, feedback delivery, and performance improvement processes.
  • Drive a culture of accountability by promptly addressing performance gaps and ensuring continuous improvement.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Oversee the creation of competitive compensation structures that align with industry standards while supporting business objectives and employee satisfaction.
  • Manage and optimize the administration of employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and market competitiveness.
  • Partner with finance and leadership teams to ensure compensation and benefits strategies are aligned with both financial goals and employee engagement.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Act as a trusted advisor and mediator, managing employee concerns and grievances with a focus on maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Design and implement engagement initiatives that foster a high-performance culture, enhancing both individual and team productivity.
  • Lead the planning of team-building activities, company events, and other initiatives that enhance organizational cohesion and employee morale.

HR Policies and Compliance:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures that reflect the organization’s values and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Ensure strict adherence to local, regional, and global labor laws, employment regulations, and industry standards.
  • Maintain meticulous records and HR documentation to ensure organizational compliance and audit readiness.

HR Operations:

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations while continuously looking for opportunities to optimize processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Utilize HR technology and software to streamline HR functions, enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Produce regular HR metrics and analytical reports that provide leadership with insights to inform workforce strategy and organizational performance.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive HR experience, with a strong background in strategic HR leadership and organizational development.
  • Deep knowledge of global labor laws, employment equity regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with senior leadership, managers, and employees to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and deliver solutions that support both the business and employees.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead, inspire, and execute strategic HR initiatives that support organizational growth and success.
  • A forward-thinking mindset, with the ability to anticipate HR challenges and proactively drive solutions.


Expected salary range: $200,000 - $225,000
