It seems hardly a month passes without a Tel Aviv-based company moving into the city. The latest arrival, SOSA, announced this morning that they were opening their first international location in New York.
The company works like a global matchmaker between startups, investors and interested corporate partners. Startups get access to funding and corporate partners that can help supercharge their growth. Meanwhile, corporations and investors get an inside look at acquisition targets and the hottest tech trends of tomorrow.
“Expanding to New York enables us to bring the world’s top innovators to the doorstep of the world’s leading corporations and facilitate the business opportunities that are driving their respective futures," Oron said.
New York City has welcomed a wave of Israeli tech companies recently. It's a destination that makes a lot of sense (we asked a recent arrival), and it's a trend that's likely going to be accelerated by the arrival of SOSA.
“Our New York office will now serve as a perfect landing pad to help our startups and investors effectively engage with the US market. We are creating a direct channel from Israeli innovators to the world’s most important market, and the impact is already being felt.”
SOSA’s existing Tel Aviv location opened in 2013 and the company said so far they’ve helped over 200 corporations and members connect. Their New York location is a couple of blocks from Union Square.
