We need a detailed and tech-savvy intern to help our Content Marketing Manager identify key holes in our SEO strategy and implement new ideas. This part-time internship is an excellent opportunity for a college student interested in learning more about the role SEO plays in marketing.

As our SEO Marketing Intern, you’ll work to help optimize the Updater site and blog by completing detailed SEO projects and conducting keyword research. On a typical day, you'll work on anything and everything from identifying and fixing SEO errors, to optimizing old blog posts with new keywords, to adding alt text to images. Some HTML knowledge is preferred. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a side project of your choosing and own its execution from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and fix key errors on the Updater site/blog through the use of SEMRush
• Optimize old blog posts by adding keywords and alt text
• Identify and fix broken links throughout the Updater site
• Update meta descriptions on the Updater blog
• Share new ideas to improve existing processes and actively seek solutions to our biggest pain points
• ... and much more!

About You:

• You’re a rising junior or senior looking for a hands on marketing gig with an innovative startup
• You’re fascinated by SEO and looking to learn the tools of the trade (SEMRush, Moz, Buzzsumo, etc.)
• You’re comfortable editing a sentence and have a solid grasp of the English language
• You’re extremely detail- and goal-oriented
• You like working on a fast-paced friendly team!
• You’ve moved at least once in your life and dream of a world where moving doesn’t suck
• You can work from our HQ in Union Square
