An Insider's view of Gynger

What’s the vibe like in the office?

Our office has an engaging, collaborative, and fun vibe. Our team loves coming in four days a week, and we share the space with our founder's VC fund and another sister startup. Even though we're a small team, the energy is fantastic! We get free lunch once a week, have fun founder-friendly happy hours, and enjoy working on our rooftop.

Taylor Kirchgessner

Account Executive

What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

We empower startups to achieve their growth potential through non-dilutive financing. Our biggest problem now is expanding our reach to help as many companies as possible. Most often this comes in the form of educating leading startups on how to diversify their capital stack, as well as supporting our clients by being an amazing partner to them.

Drew Olsen

Head of GTM

What are some things you learned at the company?

When I first started, Gynger was only a team of seven! I quickly learned that there are many hats to wear and you have to work without a lot of training or guidance. While we're growing and building in more structure, we still operate with the same spirit prioritizing collaboration, innovation, and personal development. There is much more to learn!

Jonathan Graber

Head of Talent Acquisition

How do you make yourself accessible to the rest of the team?

I love building companies. The best part about founding a company is building a team - bringing people together from different cultures and backgrounds. Your team is your biggest asset, and hiring people who teach and challenge you sets a company up for success. I work right alongside my team, asking and encouraging input every step of the way.

Mark Ghermezian

CEO

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

Collaboration within a company (heck, within a team) is never linear. It involves various strategies and tools and we do it at Gynger under an "open feedback" culture. For us, collaboration includes: direct communication, solid software, and - of course - shared vision and goals. Our strength is doing these things efficiently and with transparency.
