Title: People Ops Generalist
Job Type: Full-time; In-Office Hybrid Required
Job Location: New York, NY
Salary Range: $65,000 - 80,000 OTE
We are looking for a People Operations Generalist to join our growing People team. This role will support our employees and the People team with onboarding, benefits, HR systems and more. This role will have the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of people initiatives and learn/grow in the people department.
What You'll Do:

  • Deliver a white glove, pre-onboarding (prior to first day) and onboarding experience to all new hires; collaborating with Hiring managers, IT & other departments, to create the best new hire experience and set up our new team members for success on their first day.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and week 1 new employee experience including presenting new hire orientation weekly, creating departmental info sessions and other calendar invites, etc.
  • Create communication templates for new hire welcome packets and exit packets, manager communications, internal employee announcements such as welcome presentations, HR update emails to the organization, and leadership recaps
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees to answer inquiries and provide general HR information - providing support for HR-related issues, and contributing to fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Input and maintain the integrity of HRIS data, including processing of new hires, promotions, benefit changes and terminations.
  • Manage employee paperwork and files, including owning and creating a confidential organized filing system for correspondences, policies, and other HR related file management systems
  • Aid in benefits programs, including open enrollment, new employee enrollments, changes in enrollment and wellness programs.
  • Manage 401k and payroll processing in connection with third party vendors and internal payroll team
  • Process terminations including managing termination in HR system, working with IT to retrieve hardware back from exiting employees, and working with payroll to complete final payment transactions
  • Maintain I-9 compliance
  • Support Employee engagement by creating programs and working on cross functional teams to foster strong company culture through connectivity and experiences.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement surveys, performance management, and HR system enhancements.


Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR functions and knowledge of best practices.
  • Rippling HRIS experience (a plus)
  • Experience working with a PEO (a plus)
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
